My Story

I helped built my first wildlife pond at primary school, designed and helped built one for the wildlife area at my middle school, went on to work with local wildlife trusts and Natural England to manage and restore various natural ponds on SSSI sites and NNRs. I gained my Batchelors Degree in 2004 in Environmental Biology and Natural History, specialising in Aquatic Ecology and wildlife. After that I went on to work in the construction industry, at 8 years I moved on to work for one of the most prestigious and largest Biotop Natural Swimming Pool builders in the UK as their site manager and technical specialist. I left in 2015 and they ceased trading not long after. I set up Bombina in 2015 and have been maintaining, building and restoring wildlife ponds and Natural Swimming Pools ever since.
